Self Existent God Eternal

What is the difference between God and man? You may come up with several answers. During a sermon series going through Theology Proper, my pastor preached a message on the attribute of Aseity. This is the Biblical explanation of God's self-existence. The fact that God does not depend on any outside influence or intervention to live or exist. God was never not. He has always been. This self-existence is a fundamental difference between God and man. This sermon had a powerful effect on me. I wrote the original version of this song on the following Monday and Tuesday.
